UBET Review

UBET is a brand launched in April 2015 following the rebranding of several products owned by Tatts Group.

The new bookmaker was born when leading Australian gambling company Tatts decided to combine the Tattsbet, Tatts.com, TAB and Tote brands it operates across four states - Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory.

UBET was created to help prevent TattsBet from falling further behind corporate bookmakers having seen their market share slide in recent years.

UBET was owned and operated by Tatts Group, who introduced the new betting brand in April 2015. The idea behind UBET was to help the company claw back some of the market space they had lost to corporate bookmakers in recent years as the brand replaced the Tattsbet, Tatts.com, TAB and Tote brands and formed one new and exciting bookmaker.

UBET now has the backing of Tabcorp after a merger with the Tatts Group. Emphasis continued to be placed on the website and mobile and tablet app, which offer innovative and impressive ways of betting in addition to more than 1400 retail outlets the company own and run.

Odds and Markets

UBET offer a wide range of markets including the three forms of racing - thoroughbred, harness and greyhounds - as well as the main sports. Those include AFL, NRL, cricket and Super Rugby as well as a major focus on the English Premier League. Some of the more obscure sports are not catered for at UBET.

Odds-wise, UBET offer both fixed odds and tote betting option. You will find fixed odds available for the main horse racing meetings each day, while tote prices are available for the smaller fixtures.

In sports betting, UBET offer a large number of markets (not as many as some of the major corporates) on individual matches, games and fixtures - anything from head-to-head betting to goalscorers, correct scores, margin and handicaps. The odds are pretty competitive when compared to their rivals.

UBET launched with a significant focus being on the website and app and they have certainly developed a neat and easy-to-use domain in a clean white, green and black design.

The website is quick to load and is helpfully broken down into Racing and Sports sections making it quick to find the market you are looking for - particularly with the "Next To Go" feature in the racing section.

Within the website, you can can listen to Radiotab and get the last Blackbookers with the UBET Racing Guide.

The UBET app looks to be one of the jewels of the crown from the bookmaker and that comes as no surprise given the significance they have placed on the tablet and mobile app.

Available to download in Android format or via the App Store for iPhone and iPad use, the app gives you everything that the website offers but in an specific format to suit your requirements.

It provides a quick and easy way to bet from your mobile or tablet while on the go, particularly via the Tappy App feature.
