The 66th edition of the NBA All-Star Game will take place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

The annual event pits the best players from the Eastern Conference and Western Conference facing off on the hardcourt.

The East starters are Kyrie Irving (Cleveland), DeMar DeRozan (Toronto), Jimmy Butler (Chicago), LeBron James (Cleveland) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee).

The reserves are John Wall (Washington), Isaiah Thomas (Boston), Kemba Walker (Charlotte), Kyle Lowry (Toronto), Paul Millsap (Atlanta), Paul George (Indiana) and Carmelo Anthony (New York). Anthony was picked to replace the injured Kevin Love (Cleveland). Brad Stevens of the Boston Celtics will coach the squad.

Starting for the West are Stephen Curry (Golden State), James Harden (Houston), Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio), Kevin Durant (Golden State) and Anthony Davis (New Orleans).

Coming off the bench are Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City), Gordon Hayward (Utah), Klay Thompson (Golden State), Draymond Green (Golden State), DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento), Marc Gasol (Memphis) and DeAndre Jordan (Los Angeles Clippers). Calling the shots for the West is Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors.

The starters of each team were selected through fan voting while the reserves were chosen through the votes of all head coaches in the league.

The West has won the last two stagings of the All-Star Game with Westbrook emerging as the MVP in both occasions. The East, however, has a 37-28 edge in their head-to-head duels since the event was first staged in Boston in 1951.

Aside from the All-Star Game, the three-day All-Star Weekend will feature side events like the Rising Stars Challenge, Taco Bell Skills Challenge, JBL Three-Point Contest and Verizon Slam Dunk contest.
