Well, fresh off nailing yesterday’s Yarra Valley Cup winner, let’s see if we can’t keep the trend going today with another success here at Kyneton...

After an unsuccessful Saturday at Flemington, I’m sure the Ellerton & Zahra camp will be out to make amends today and their four-year-old mare, Schwarzlegga looks hot a chance in this one.
The beautifully bred mare by top sire Pins, she has been racing without much luck of late. Apart from a 12 length defeat in a BM64 on a heavy Cranbourne track, she has been gradually improving with every run this campaign.
Two starts back, she wasn’t far away when finishing fourth behind Wicked Sensation in a BM58 over 1600m at Werribee.
She followed that up last start finishing a lot closer when coming back to 1200m here at Kyneton. Sitting just behind the pace, she ran down the pacesetter, but was then nailed on the line by one finishing just as good.
That was a very promising effort and certainly has her stripping fit for this assignment today. Her opposition is no stronger and provided she can get across from the seven barrier and settle like she did last start, she will be right in this when it matters.
Young apprentice, Lachlan King mounts up today and with his 3kg claim, the mare will be dropping 3kgs from her last start. On paper at least, she looks very hard to beat in this company.
Regan Bayliss climbs aboard Mega D’oro who drops back in grade today but is climbing to 1200m and is up 3kgs on his last start unplaced effort at Cranbourne. He may find others getting the trip a little better.
Topweight, Velonski is second-up today after a first-up win over this distance here two weeks ago. He will be finishing late but the small Kyneton straight may prove to be his downfall.
