Australian pair Adam Scott and Marc Leishman have been installed as the favourites to win the World Cup of Golf on home turf this week.
The Aussies will team up at Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne bidding to lift the title again with Australia the defending champions having won in 2013 when the tournament was last held at Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
Scott teamed up with Jason Day three years ago but will have Leishman as his team-mate this time around and the pair are $5.00 with Sportsbet
to be crowned champions again.
They are the best backed in the field with one punter staking $4,000 on Australia for the win with Scott returning to the scene of his 2012 Australian Masters victory.
Team USA, featuring Ricky Fowler and Jimmy Walker, are next in the betting at $7.00 but it is $7.50 third favourites Spain, represented by Rafa Cabrera Bello and Jon Rahm, who have had much more support behind them.
Japan ($10), England ($11) Sweden ($11), Ireland ($13) and Belgium ($15) are also prominent in the betting ahead of the start of the event.
