Melbourne Cup Day Place Multi - 95/1 four-leg Place Multi for Melbourne Cup Day

  • This four-leg Place Multi for Melbourne Cup Day
  • $10 Returns $950

Looking for multibet selections for Melbourne Cup Day? We've picked out four horses to place to combine into 4-leg multibet paying $950 for a $10 bet.

We've combined our best four selections to Place from Flemington for a Multi paying 95/1 at Sportsbet.com.au.

Here is our 4-leg multibet to back on Cup Day.

Flemington Race 3 - DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR ($2.75)
The Tony McEvoy-trained DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR has had three starts at Flemington for zero placings however I’m happy to forgive those efforts. His first two runs at Flemington were very solid, finishing a close-up fourth and fifth, not beaten more than two lengths on either of those occasions. His third run was over 2000m and that was probably a bridge too far. Tony McEvoy has kept him at 1400m his preparation and It’s paid off with two easy victories over in Adelaide. The horse is undefeated over the distance and is a classy commodity. Barrier One means he won’t use any energy in the run and should either be box-seating or three pairs back along the rails and should at least be running into a place.

Flemington Race 4 - UBIN THUNDERSTRUCK ($3.40)
The Master trainer D.K. Weir very rarely leaves a big day empty handed and this very well may be his winner. UBIN THUNDERSTRUCK was Willowed last start and deadset should’ve won by four. He ran into dead ends as Craig finally got out, he flew late but the bird had flown missing by a half length. Sin To Win and Granddukeoftuscany are both solid chances in what is a wide open race. If Yendall can slide over and find a position from gate 10, Ubi Thunderstruck should give you a very good sight, over the odds for mine.

Flemington Race 5 - MADEENATY ($2.90)
Another Lindsay Park runner that is drawn out down the straight. MADEENATY has never missed a place down the straight, with one win and three placings from four attempts. This includes looking home before just being run down late by Crown Witness who went on to beat Catchy. He was on the heels of Pariah up in Sydney before running third and fourth at Moonee Valley. Although it maps to be the case, I don’t think Moonee Valley is his track, with his PB performances coming here down the Flemington straight. He has the all important straight track experience and will be on speed. I think this is a very good race which is why I’m not having him to win, with the likes of Paret looking extremely classy, however the $3 a place looks very juicy and I’m happy to invest on an each-way basis.

Flemington Race 10 - SWAMPLAND ($3.50)
We have to wait until the last race to find my best value runner all day. To my surprise, bookies and punters missed SWAMPLAND as she opened upwards of $14.00. She scored two impressive wins at Flemington over the Winter period before running an unlucky second behind Oregon’s Day who would not be at $14 in this event. She was then good again, running a close-up second behind Sword Of Light in the Group Two Let’s Elope Stakes. Her first-up run in the Group Two Tristarc Stakes was outstanding. You couldn’t win from out wide on this day and the horses that did make up ground in this race have come out and either won or run very well. Shillelagh flew for third in that race and has since come out and won the Group One Cantala Stakes on Derby Day. Savanna Amour finished behind Swampland in the Tristarc Stakes and came out on Saturday and got beaten a nose in the Group Three Skip Sprint. Foxplay finished seventh in the Tristarc and got beaten less than a length in the Group One Myer Classic on Saturday. This is the wrong price and is my best value runner of the day.
