Wests Tigers have firmed into $10 to finish bottom of the NRL ladder following the sacking of coach Jason Taylor.
The club released a statement on Monday afternoon making the bold decision to release Taylor after just three games of the 2017 based on the poor start to the campaign.
The Tigers started the season with a shock win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs but then fell badly to the Panthers as they were kept try-less. Then on Sunday Wests were beaten by 40 by the Canberra Raiders.
After the two heavy losses, the Tigers club reached the decision that a new head coach is now needed.
Current assistant coach Andrew Webster takes on the role of interim coach until a replacement for Taylor is announced with former Warriors and Panthers coach Ivan Cleary the early favourite.
After Round 1, online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au

The Tigers have gone from $20 into $10 in the Least Wins market following the thrashing at the hands of Canberra with only Newcastle Knights and Manly Sea Eagles at shorter odds.
