UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, there has been two fixture changes to Round 5. Richmond will now take on Melbourne, while Sydney face West Coast.
Carlton and St Kilda’s clash has also been moved from Saturday to Thursday night.
Carlton Blues vs St Kilda Saints AFL Round 5 Tips

Carlton continue to claw their way up the ladder and come into this clash on a two-match winning streak, while St Kilda registered a confidence-boosting win over Richmond last weekend.
Collingwood Magpies vs Essendon Bombers AFL Round 5 Tips

Both teams on the receiving end of heartbreaking defeats in Round 4, with Collingwood going down to GSW by two points and Essendon falling to Carlton by one point. The Pies have won their last four meetings.
West Coast Eagles vs Sydney Swans

Both teams outside the eight and coming off last-start defeats, with the Swans outplayed by the Bulldogs and West Coast going down to Brisbane.
Geelong Cats vs Gold Coast Suns

Gold Coast continued their impressive start to the season with a narrow victory over the winless Dockers last weekend, while Geelong returned to the winners circle with a close triumph over the Demons. Geelong have won their last three encounters.
Western Bulldogs vs North Melbourne Kangaroos

The Bulldogs are on a nice run of form with back-to-back wins over the Giants and Sydney, while North Melbourne dropped out of the eight following their four-point loss to Hawthorn.
Brisbane Lions vs Port Adelaide Power

Could be the match of the round. Port Adelaide are the only team with a perfect 4-0 start to the season, while Brisbane are sitting pretty in third with three wins, including an easy Round 4 victory over the Crows. Brisbane won both of their 2019 encounters.
Adelaide Crows vs Fremantle Dockers

One of these teams will claim their first win for 2020, while the other will be anchored to the bottom of the ladder – huge game for both struggling sides.
Melbourne Demons vs Richmond Tigers
- Sunday July 5 | MCG | 3.35pm AEST
Reigning premiers Richmond struggling since the restart, going winless in their last three games to languish in 14th spot on the ladder, while the Demons are coming off a close loss to Carlton.
GWS Giants vs Hawthorn Hawks
- Sunday July 5 | GIANTS Stadium | 6.10pm AEST
The Giants, equipped with their star players back on the field, edged out Collingwood for a big win last weekend, while Hawthorn continued their bright start to the season with a four-point win over the Kangaroos. The Hawks won both of their meetings last year.
