Brisbane vs West Coast Preview and Prediction

The Eagles lost rather embarrassingly to a young Gold Coast outfit last week, they will be looking to redeem themselves by getting the four points against a Brisbane side who had an unconvincing win against the Dockers.

Brisbane was never in control in Round 2, with the Dockers always threatening to come back and hit the front. The Lions finished with an unconvincing win thanks to standout performances from their stars.

If the Lions want to get a positive result on the weekend they will have to get on top in the midfield and restrict the Eagles deadly playmakers.

Charlie Cameron impressed for the Lions finishing with four goals and seven score involvements.

Meanwhile, West Coast was poor in their 44-point loss against a young Gold Coast side. The Eagles lacked determination in all aspects of the game, kicking only one goal in the entire second half.

Star Eagle, Elliot Yeo had an impressive performance finishing with 13 tackles and 11 clearances, the most tackles and clearances from anyone on the ground.

This promises to be an intriguing contest and with West Coast losing to Gold Coast last week I think you’ll see them with a point to prove and beat the Lions at the Gabba.

Brisbane vs West Coast Team News

Brisbane have named one change with Archie Smith coming into the side for the injured Stefan Martin. Former Hawk Grant Birchall will play his 250th AFL game and Harris Andrews will be playing his 100th game.

The Eagles have made two changes to the side that lost to Gold Coast last week with Josh Rotham and Will Schofield coming in for Jackson Nelson and the suspended Jeremy McGovern.

Andrew Gaff is set to play his 200th game on Saturday night.

The two clubs last met in Round 1 last year which saw the Lions demolish the 2018 Premiership side by 44 points.
