Essendon Bombers Injury Update & News

Essendon will be forced to make at least two changes, with Zach Merrett and Nik Cox both suffering injuries against the Lions. Merrett’s injury is worse than first feared and requires surgery, leaving him out for two months.

Devon Smith’s position is also in jeopardy after just four disposals last week, but you can expect him to remain in the squad. Round 1 Rising Star nominee Nic Martin will return to the team, along with Dylan shiel if deemed fit. Draftee Ben Hobbs is also in the mix after a strong VFL outing.
