The ATP Kitzbuhel second round match between Pedro Cachin and Albert Ramos-Vinolas features as Bettingpro.com.au’s best bet for Wednesday August 2.
Bet Of The Day August 2 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.
Key Points
- Cachin has won five of his last six matches
- Cachin beat Ramos-Vinolas in the Gstaad final a couple of weeks ago
- Cachin beat Ramos-Vinolas 16-11 in games in that final
- Cachin loves high altitude venues
- Ramos-Vinolas has lost two of his last three matches
We’re off to ATP Kitsbuhel for today’s best bet as Pedro Cachin and Albert Ramos-Vinolas square off for a spot in the quarter-finals.
These two players met just a couple of weeks ago in the Gstaad final, with Cachin coming away with the victory and maiden ATP title.
We’ll be backing the Argentine to repeat that win here in Kitzbuhel, where conditions are quite similar with high altitude.
Cachin has been a consistently high performer at high altitude venues throughout the last couple of years, including scoring big wins over the likes of top 20 players Francisco Cerundolo and Francis Tiafoe at the Madrid Masters earlier in 2023.
We’re confident Cachin can cover a small -1.5 games handicap in victory.
Cachin dropped the opening set when the pair met in the Gstaad final, but he roared back to storm through the second 6-0. Whenever someone drops a 6-0 set on an opponent, you know their game matches up well.
It took everything Ramos-Vinolas had to hang with Cachin and when he couldn’t anymore, the Argentine dominated. The fact that was a final also meant Ramos-Vinolas probably played above his current level – the veteran Spaniard won’t have many more opportunities to land another ATP title.
Cachin has won five of his last six matches, loves the altitude and just beat Ramos-Vinolas in similar conditions two weeks ago (winning 16-11 in games) – the Argentine should come out on top again in Kitzbuhel.
