Bet Of The Day July 6

The Wimbledon quarter-final between Simona Halep and Amanda Anisimova features as’s best bet for Wednesday July 6.

Bet Of The Day July 6 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Halep has won the last two meetings between the pair
  • Halep won those matches 6-2 6-1 and 6-0 6-1
  • Halep beat Anisimova in straight sets on grass a couple of weeks ago
  • Halep has won 11 straight matches at Wimbledon
  • Nine of Halep’s last 10 wins have been in straight sets
  • Halep beat fourth seed Badosa 6-1 6-2 in the previous round
  • Halep is the only major champion left in the women’s draw

We’re off to Wimbledon for today’s best bet as Simona Halep and Amanda Anisimova square off for a place in the semi-finals.

Our last three ‘Bets Of The Day’ have landed and we’re confident we can make it four on the trot with Halep to defeat Anisimova in straight sets.

Halep has been on fire in her first Wimbledon since capturing the title back in 2019, winning all of her matches this tournament in straight sets.

The former World No. 1 is coming off a blistering 6-1 6-2 victory over fourth seed Paola Badosa in just 59 minutes and is looking in ominous form.

The Romanian has now won 11 consecutive matches at Wimbledon and is the last major champion left in the women’s draw.

Halep has been convincing in the majority of her recent victories as well, with nine of her last 10 wins – which included warm-up semi-finals on grass in Birmingham and Bad Homburg – coming in straight sets.

By contrast, Anisimova has needed three sets to get through the likes of Coco Gauff and Lauren Davis, while she could also be haunted by her last two meetings with Halep.

Anisimova and Halep met just a couple of weeks ago in Bad Homburg and it was Halep who emerged with a crushing 6-2 6-1 victory.

Their last clash at a Grand Slam was also one-way traffic, with Halep completely dismantling Anisimova 6-0 6-1 at the 2020 French Open.

Clearly this is a match-up Halep finds very comfortable and considering her current form, the Romanian should be able to produce a similar result and secure her ticket into the semi-finals.
