Bet Of The Day June 14

The ATP s-Hertogenbosch second round match between Alexander Bublik and Jannik Sinner features as Bettingpro.com.au’s best bet for Wednesday June 14.

Bet Of The Day June 14 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Sinner coming off demoralising defeats vs Cerundolo and Altmaier
  • Sinner playing first match on grass for the season
  • Bublik beat Goffin in straight sets in his opening round
  • Bublik has won 16 of his last 26 matches on grass
  • Bublik has made at least a quarter-final on grass in the last three years
  • Bublik has covered the +3.5 games line in both previous meetings vs Sinner

We’re off to ATP s-Hertogenbosch for today’s best bet as Alexander Bublik targets a top 10 scalp in the form of Jannik Sinner in the second round.

Sinner received a bye in the opening round and is playing his first match on grass for the season, while Bublik registered a solid straight sets victory over David Goffin.

Bublik looks juicy value at $4.00 to win this outright, but we’ll play it safer and back him to cover a +3.5 games line at $2.00.

Bublik’s massive serve means he can keep matches close on grass, but I wouldn’t rule him out pulling off the upset here.

Sinner’s confidence is low at the moment – the Italian started the season strongly and is usually very consistent week to week, but that’s not the case right now.

After retiring from Barcelona, Sinner hasn’t been the same – he suffered a poor loss at his home tournament in Rome to Francisco Cerundolo and crashed out early in the second round of the French Open against Daniel Altmaier.

As mentioned, Bublik has the weapons to do damage in this match-up, especially on grass, where he can earn cheap points off his serve.

Sinner has won their two previous meetings, but Bublik has covered the +3.5 games line in both.

Sinner prevailed 2-6 7-6 6-4 in their first encounter in Dubai 2021 (Bublik actually won more games in that match), while the pair met just a month later in Miami that same season, with the Italian winning 7-6 6-4.

We can expect Sinner to be a little rusty in his first hit-out on grass for the year, while he’s not in form after a pair of demoralising losses.

Bublik should be motivated against a top 10 player and has proven he can push Sinner all the way in both previous meetings.

All things considered, he’s a great shot at doing so again tonight.
