Bet Of The Day June 15

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day June 15

The ATP Queen’s Club second round match between Jack Draper and Emil Ruusuvuori features as’s best bet for Wednesday June 15.

Bet Of The Day June 15 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Draper has won 27 of his 33 matches this season
  • Draper beat Fritz 6-3 6-2 in his first round at Queen’s
  • Draper made the Queen’s Club quarter-finals last season
  • Draper has covered the -3.5 games handicap in his last 10 wins
  • Ruusuvuori has failed to cover the +3.5 games line in three of his last four defeats

We’re off to ATP Queen’s Club for today’s best bet as Jack Draper and Emil Ruusuvuori square off for a place in the quarter-finals.

Draper is one of the most talented young prospects in the game and has shot up the rankings to just inside the top 100 this year after starting the season at No. 265.

Currently No.99, Draper – who is just 20 years of age – is targeting a big grass-court swing in front of his home fans in Great Britain.

Draper made headlines this time last year, defeating the likes of Jannik Sinner and Alexander Bublik to reach the Queen’s Club quarter-finals before taking a set off Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon as a teenager.

A junior runner-up at Wimbledon a couple of years ago, Draper is extremely dangerous on grass and proved his credentials on the surface once more by completely dismantling Indian Wells champion Taylor Fritz 6-3 6-2 in the opening round of Queen’s.

Overall, it’s been a tremendous season for Draper – he’s won 27 of his 33 matches at all levels and he can continue that winning form in this match.

Ruusuvuori is one of the flashiest players on tour and most likely won’t have the consistency to handle the firepower of the left-handed Draper on grass.

The Finn has struggled to be convincing on grass so far in his career, losing six of his nine matches on the surface before this swing began. Ruusuvuori – who needed to qualify at Queen’s – has also needed three sets to advance in his last two matches against veteran Feliciano Lopez and French journeyman Quentin Halys.

Draper is the far better player on grass and playing at home will give him an added advantage. We can get excellent value for the 20-year-old to cover the -3.5 games handicap and move through to the quarter-finals for the second straight year.
