We’re off to the NRL for today’s best bet as the Cowboys and Sharks square off in a huge showdown in Townsville.

Both teams are chasing a spot in the finals, with the Cowboys sitting in ninth and the Sharks in fifth.

Cronulla have bounced back from three straight defeats with wins against the Rabbitohs and Titans, but I’m keen to fade them here.

The Sharks have been flat track bullies for the majority of the season and the Cowboys in Townsville is one of the toughest tests in the competition.

Away form for Cronulla hasn’t been great, especially against the top sides – indeed, the Sharks have only beaten one current top eight team on the road this season.

That game came against the Rabbitohs in Perth two weeks ago, so it was on neutral territory for both teams and Souths have been awful as of late too.

North Queensland have won six of their last seven games in Townsville and have beaten the Sharks in a big game recently too, knocking them out of last season’s finals.

With Jeremiah Nanai returning from injury, I’m confident this Cowboys team can get the job done.
