Bet Of The Day June 22

The ATP Eastbourne second round match between Cameron Norrie and Brandon Nakashima features as Bettingpro.com.au’s best bet for Wednesday June 22.

Bet Of The Day June 22 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Norrie has won seven of his last 10 matches
  • Norrie has won all three previous tournaments he’s played as the top seed
  • Norrie beat Nakashima 6-2 6-2 in their last meeting in 2021
  • Norrie has covered the -1.5 games line in his last 22 wins this season

We’re off to ATP Eastbourne for today’s best bet as top seed Cameron Norrie faces Brandon Nakashima for a place in the quarter-finals.

Norrie bombed out early at Queens last week to experienced grass courter Grigor Dimitrov and will be determined to make amends for that showing by going all the way in Eastbourne this week.

The World No. 12 has been hugely successful when placed as the top seed at tournaments – in fact, Norrie has never lost a single match as the No. 1 seed, winning the title in Los Cabos 2021, along with Delray Beach and Lyon earlier this season.

Additionally, Norrie has never lost his opening match in Eastbourne (he received a first round bye this week) and is a former quarter-finalist at the tournament.

Playing at home on a surface that suits his crafty game, Norrie should be extremely confident of taking out the relatively inexperienced Nakashima.

Nakashima is a talented young player, but he hasn’t played much at tour-level on grass and was defeated by a similar playing style in s-Hertogenbosch when he went down to Adrian Mannarino.

Norrie knows his tennis can comfortably account for Nakashima having defeated the American 6-2 6-2 in their last meeting in Los Cabos 2021. Norrie went on to win that tournament as well.

All in all, Norrie has everything going for him in this match-up and he should be able to cover the 1.5 games handicap to move into the quarter-finals.
