Unbeaten against Wellington in their last 11 meetings dating back to 2015, Adelaide target their fifth victory on the trot on Sunday night.

The Reds are on a superb run following their FFA Cup title defence, winning their last four games in the A-League, including a 3-1 triumph over Melbourne Victory last week.

That result propelled Adelaide up to third on the ladder and they will be confident of extending their winning momentum on Sunday.

Riley McGree and James Troisi are in superb form and will once again be out to make an impact against the competition’s bottom-placed side.

Wellington are indeed anchored to the bottom of the ladder, but they haven’t performed that badly throughout the season – and they come into this clash with confidence having notched up their first win of the season last week against Brisbane.

It was a much-needed boost for Ufuk Talay’s young team, but beating the in-form Adelaide on the road is a different kettle of fish.

Wellington haven’t been able to come away with three points against Adelaide for four years now, and with the Reds in great form and at home, I don’t see them doing it on Sunday.
