Bet Of The Day June 2

The NRL Round 13 match between the Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland Cowboys features as Bettingpro.com.au’s best bet for Thursday June 2.

Bet Of The Day June 2 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Cowboys have won six of their last seven games
  • Titans have lost seven of their last eight games
  • Cowboys defeated Titans 30-4 earlier this season
  • Cowboys have covered the -5.5 line in their last five victories
  • Titans have failed to cover the +5.5 line in their last seven losses
  • Cowboys have scored 30+ points in their last five wins

We’re off to the NRL for today’s best bet as the Cowboys look to return to the winners circle when they come up against the struggling Titans.

North Queensland are having a tremendous season and are flying high in the top four coming into this clash, winning six of their last seven games.

The Cowboys lost no admirers with their last-start loss away to reigning premiers Penrith and will now turn their attention to the embattled Titans, who have lost seven of their last eight matches.

Todd Payten’s side will have to contend with the loss of four players picked for Origin duty, such is the price for his team’s success.

However, there is good news on the player front, with captain Jason Taumalolo returning from injury. Defence will once again be key for the Cowboys, who have leaked the second-least amount of points in 2022.

Gold Coast are also missing some key figures, with Tino Fa’aasuamaleaui away with the Maroons and David Fifita sidelined through injury.

The Titans have been hugely disappointing this season after making the finals in 2021, winning just three of their 12 games. Justin Holbrook’s side were embarrassing last week, blowing a 20-point lead against a Broncos side without Adam Reynolds after 50 minutes, conceding 31 unanswered points in the final 30 minutes to lose 35-24.

Having scored 30+ points in their last five wins over the Cowboys, we’re going to backing the away side home and cover the line in the process.

North Queensland thrashed the Titans 30-4 in their last meeting earlier this season and have covered the -5.5 line in their last five victories, while Gold Coast have failed to cover that line in their last seven defeats.
