Bet Of The Day June 3

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day June 3

The NRL Round 13 match between the Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bulldogs features as’s best bet for Friday June 3.

Bet Of The Day June 3 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Panthers have won 22 of their last 23 games at BlueBet Stadium
  • Panthers have won 11 of their 12 games this season
  • Bulldogs have lost 10 of their 12 matches this season
  • Panthers have won the last four games between the teams
  • Panthers have covered the -10 line in all of those four wins
  • Panthers have covered the -10 line in their last nine NRL victories

We’re off to the NRL for today’s best bet as the Panthers look to increase their lead at the top of the table against the embattled Bulldogs.

It’s first up against last, with the Panthers flying high with 11 wins from their 12 matches, while the Bulldogs are anchored to the bottom of the ladder with just two victories for the year.

Penrith are missing six players to Origin duty for this clash, but we still think they can win this game and cover the -10 line in the process.

The Bulldogs are an absolute basket case of a club right now – they have no direction on and off the field and if they can’t beat the Dragons at Belmore, then I fear for their chances at the foot of the mountains on a cold Friday night.

Canterbury’s defence, especially on their own line, was downright embarrassing against the Dragons, while their attack is still all over the place.

While the Panthers are missing key players, especially in halves Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai, they still boast a strong team and if they can muscle up in defence, they can grind the Dogs into submission.

Penrith’s success is built on the back of a brick-wall defence, so even though their attack could suffer, we still expect the reigning premiers to be very tough to break down.

Playing at BlueBet Stadium – where they’ve won 22 of their last 23 matches – will also give this more inexperienced Panthers side more confidence.

The Panthers have crushed the Bulldogs in their last four meetings by a combined score of 132-16 and even though it won’t be as dominant this time, they should still be able to prevail by more than 10 points at home.
