Bet Of The Day July 22

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day July 22

The NRL Round 19 match between the Manly Sea Eagles and St George Illawarra Dragons features as’s best bet for Friday July 22.

Bet Of The Day July 22 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Sea Eagles have won four of their last five games
  • Dragons have lost their last two games
  • Dragons have leaked 86 points in those two defeats
  • Sea Eagles have averaged 35 points per game in their last five matches
  • Dragons have conceded 31+ points in six of their last eight defeats
  • Sea Eagles have seen over 34.5 points in 10 of their last 12 games
  • Dragons have seen over 34.5 points in eight of their last nine games

We’re off to the NRL for today’s best bet as the Manly Sea Eagles look to continue their blistering run of form when they come up against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Manly are one of the form teams in the competition and have won four of their last five games coming into this clash.

Their attack is on fire, with the Sea Eagles averaging 35 points per game during that period. Manly’s only loss over the last month was against the high-flying Cowboys – and they were winning that game comfortably with 10 minutes remaining before collapsing.

Daly Cherry-Evans is playing some of the best footy of his career after guiding Queensland to a shock Origin series triumph, while Kieran Foran has also wound back the clock.

Haumole Olakau’atu has transformed into one of the most devastating forwards in the game, while Manly’s backline has speed to burn with Jason Saab, Tolutau Koula and Christian Tuipulotu. Reuben Garrick has also done a tremendous job at fullback with Tommy Turbo sidelined.

Everything is clicking for the Sea Eagles and they will be looking to cement their top eight status against the Dragons tonight.

The Dragons haven’t been convincing at any stage throughout the season and head into this encounter having lost their last two games.

It’s the manner of those defeats that will concern Dragons fans – they conceded 86 points against the Broncos and Roosters combined, while they’ve also leaked 31+ points in six of their last eight defeats.

When they lose, the Dragons tend to throw in the towel, which isn’t a good sign for their attitudes.

With Manly piling on the points and the Dragons conceding heavily, the points total should comfortably exceed 34.5.

St George Illawarra have beaten just one team in the current top eight all season, so we’re backing Manly to continue their outstanding form and come away with the two points.
