Bet Of The Day May 27

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day May 27

The NRL Round 12 match between the Penrith Panthers and North Queensland Cowboys features as’s best bet for Friday May 27.

Bet Of The Day May 27 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Panthers have won 21 of their last 22 games at BlueBet Stadium
  • Panthers’ last eight wins have been by 13+ margins
  • Panthers 13+ and under 46.5 points has landed in six of their last eight victories
  • Cowboys have lost six of their last eight games in NSW
  • Cowboys have lost Feldt and Taumalolo to injury
  • Panthers conceded just six points to Storm and 12 points to Roosters in their last two games

We’re off to the NRL for today’s best bet as the Panthers look to further increase their lead at the top of the ladder before the busy Origin period when they host the Cowboys in a top four blockbuster.

North Queensland have surprised everyone to surge up to third spot on the ladder, but there’s a couple of reasons why we think they’ll struggle in this clash.

Firstly, it’s the Panthers in Penrith. They’ve won 21 of their last 22 games at BlueBet Stadium and will be fired up for a big performance after dropping their last game at the venue to the Eels.

Secondly and incredibly, this will be the Cowboys’ first game in Sydney all year after 12 rounds. Talk about a fortuitous draw, especially when you consider that North Queensland have never been the best travellers down south, losing six of their last eight games in NSW.

With captain Jason Taumalolo and star winger Kyle Feldt also missing due to injury and the Cowboys will have their work cut out for them.

Penrith are the best defensive team in the competition (they are the best at most things…) and come into this clash having conceded just six points to Melbourne and 12 to the Roosters.

We’re expecting the Panthers to suffocate this Cowboys side to a degree they haven’t yet experienced in 2022.

We’re also backing Penrith to win this fairly comfortably, with their last eight victories coming by a 13+ margin.

To add some more value, we’re also backing under 46.5 total points. If Penrith do their job defensively, like we expect them to do, the Cowboys won’t be troubling their scoreboard attendant too much.
