Bet Of The Day March 28

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day March 28

The ATP Miami third round match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alex de Minaur features as’s best bet for Monday March 28.

Bet Of The Day March 28 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

Key Points

  • Tsitsipas has won all nine professional meetings between the pair
  • Tsitsipas has won six of their eight proper matches in straight sets
  • De Minaur has lost 25 of his 30 matches vs top 10 players
  • De Minaur has never won back-to-back matches in Miami

We’re off to the Miami Masters for today’s best bet as Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alex de Minaur square off for a spot in the fourth round.

It pains us to go against an Aussie, but unfortunately that’s what we’re doing – De Minaur has a terrible record against the Greek and we can get some good value for Tsitsipas to continue his dominance in Miami.

Indeed, Tsitsipas has won all nine professional meetings with De Minaur, most recently a comfortable 6-4 6-4 victory in Rotterdam last month.

De Minaur hasn’t really come close to pulling off the upset in this match-up, with Tsitsipas winning six of the eight matches (not counting the Next Gen finals clash) in straight sets.

Tsitsipas simply loves this match-up – De Minaur doesn’t have the firepower to blow him off the court, so he can simply play within himself and wait for the Aussie to overdo it from the baseline.

It’s an ongoing problem for De Minaur against the very elite – he has a terrible 5-25 record against top 10 players throughout his career, highlighting the holes in his game when he comes up against the best. He just doesn’t have the weapons to do damage.

Tsitsipas isn’t playing his best tennis by any means right now, but this is a great chance for the Greek to find his rhythm and get back into the swing of things.

De Minaur is in good form and is having a solid year, but he is yet to prove he has the firepower to take down the top guys on a consistent basis.

Tsitsipas has been absolutely dominant in this H2H and we’re backing the World No. 5 to register another straight sets win over the Aussie on Monday in Miami.
