Russian star Andrey Rublev targets a fourth straight ATP 500 title when he takes on qualifier Marton Fucsovics in the Rotterdam final on Sunday and I’m very confident the World No. 8 will be picking up the silverware.

Rublev has taken his game to another level over the last couple of seasons and has established himself at the very top of the game. Rublev ended 2020 by winning three ATP 500 titles in Hamburg, St. Petersburg and Vienna, while his run to the final in Rotterdam has seen him extend his winning streak at this level to 19 matches.

To put his current run into perspective, only Roger Federer (28) and Andy Murray (21) have put together longer winning streaks at this level since 2009.

Rublev has also won 12 of his 13 matches this season, with his only defeat coming against nemesis Daniil Medvedev in the Australian Open quarter-finals.

Rublev comes into the final in great form after dispatching Stefans Tsitsipas in straight sets in the semi-finals, blasting 24 winners off his forehand side alone.

Fucsovics is a very good player when he’s in the zone and he’s come all the way from qualifying to reach his maiden ATP 500 final this week, but I think he’ll run out of steam here. The Hungarian hasn’t come up against anyone in the top 25 this week and faces a significant step up in class in the final.

Ten of Rublev’s 12 wins this season have come in straight sets and I think he cruises to another 500-level title in Rotterdam.
