The UEFA Nations League match between Wales and Finland features as Bettingpro.com.au’s best bet for Wednesday November 18.
Bet Of The Day November 18 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.
- Four of our last five Bet Of The Day’s have been successful.
Both Wales and Finland have been in tremendous form over the last 12 months, but we are leaning with the Dragons to prevail here and secure their promotion to the top group of the Nations League.
Wales have a one-point lead over Finland after claiming a tight 1-0 victory in Helsinki a couple of months ago and we expect a repeat of that result on Wednesday night.
Unbeaten in their last nine home games, Wales have emerged triumphant in seven of those, while they’ve also kept a clean sheet in five of their last six fixtures. They are a tidy side who know how to get the job done with minimal fuss.
Finland can’t be underestimated – they too have qualified for Euro 2020 and are coming off a superb upset win over France last week, making it four wins from their last five in all competitions.
However, we think Wales will prove too tough. The Dragons are the only League B side in the Nations League yet to concede a goal and are extremely tough to break down, especially at home.
Also watch out for David Brookes – the 23-year-old midfielder from Bournemouth is in sensational form, scoring three goals in his last two games for club and country.
Wales earned a gritty 1-0 win away to Finland two months ago, and with their excellent home form and brick-wall defence, we think they are excellent value to grind out another tight victory.
- Wales have lost just one of their last 13 games
- Wales are yet to concede a goal this Nations League campaign
- Wales have kept a clean sheet in five of their last six fixtures in all competitions
- Wales beat Finland in Helsinki two months ago
