We’re heading to the NRL for today’s best bet as the high-flying Eels look to continue their good form against the inconsistent Raiders.

Parramatta have won the last three meetings between the teams and have been by far the superior side throughout the season, but we can find some good value by also focusing on the under 48.5 total points market.

One of each side’s primary attacking weapons are sidelined for this clash, with Mitchell Moses missing for the Eels with a back injury and Jack Wighton out for the Raiders due to a rib issue.

The Eels struggled without Moses last week against the out-of-form Titans and scored three tries while Gold Coast had a man in the sin bin, while the loss of Wighton is big for the Raiders.

Additionally, the last nine games between the sides have produced less than 48.5 points in 80 minutes. In three of the last five, one team has scored 10 points or less – and in two of those, one team failed to score a single try.

Parramatta have also seen under 48.5 points in seven of their last nine matches, so we’ve got a current and sustained trend here involving the favourite.

With two of the most creative players for each side sidelined, Eels to win and under 48.5 points is looking good once again.
