Bet Of The Day November 18

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day November 18

The ATP Finals match between Alexander Zverev and Hubert Hurkacz features as’s best bet for Thursday November 18.

Bet Of The Day November 18 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

After yesterday’s success with Novak Djokovic easily accounting for Andrey Rublev, we are sticking with the ATP Finals for today’s best bet as Alexander Zverev comes up against Hubert Hurkacz.

Both players are still in with a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals, but Zverev has the distinct advantage – the German only needs to win to secure his ticket, while Hurkacz must win and hope Daniil Medvedev defeats Jannik Sinner in the other match.

We’ll be backing Zverev to get the job done in relatively convincing fashion.

Zverev – a former champion at the ATP Finals – has been the undisputed third best player in the world behind Djokovic and Medvedev during the second half of the season, losing just four matches since Wimbledon – and three of those were against Djokovic and Medvedev themselves.

Having picked up the Olympic gold medal, Cincinnati and Vienna titles, along with a semi-final at the US Open and runner-up finish at the Paris Masters, Zverev has been rolling to close out 2021.

The same can’t be said for Hurkacz, who comes into this encounter having lost five of his last eight matches and last three straight.

Hurkacz, who is making his debut at the ATP Finals, went down in a tight contest to Medvedev in his opening match before being crushed 6-2 6-2 by Sinner in his last outing.

There’s rumours circulating that Hurkacz isn’t operating at 100 per cent fitness and if that’s the case, he faces an enormous task to even stay competitive with Zverev.

Zverev is the clear favourite all things considered and will likely win this in straights – and if that’s the case, he stands a good chance to cover the -3.5 games handicap.
