Bet Of The Day September 1

Andrew Hendrie:
Bet Of The Day September 1

The FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Denmark and Scotland features as’s best bet for Wednesday September 1.

Bet Of The Day September 1 – read on below for our reasoning behind today’s best bet.

We aim for our fifth #BOTD in a row as we turn our attention to the FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Denmark and Scotland.

Currently occupying the top two spots in Group F, the winner of this clash will position themselves strongly for a spot at Qatar 2022.

Both teams are unbeaten across their first three matches, but we will be leaning with Denmark to emerge victorious here – and we can get some more value with the Danes to win to nil.

Denmark are absolutely flying so far this qualifying campaign, winning all three matches to claim a maximum nine points, while they’ve scored a whopping 14 goals and conceded zero.

It doesn’t get much more dominant than that.

Additionally, Denmark haven’t conceded a goal in five of their last six home games, winning four of those fixtures.

The Danes are also coming off a hugely successful Euro 2020 campaign where they advanced all the way to the semi-finals despite huge adversity – and they were hugely unlucky to fall in extra-time to England courtesy of a dubious penalty.

Scotland also featured at Euro 2020 – their first major tournament appearance since 1998 – but they couldn’t get out of the group, failing to score in two of their three matches.

Scotland fought hard in all of those games were arguably the better team when they came up against England, but they lack some class up front to finish off goalscoring opportunities.

That continues to be an issue for the Scots coming up against world class teams, and with Denmark rarely conceding at home and in their current form, the Danes should produce another shut-out here.
