Unibet Australia Review
REASONS TO JOIN UNIBET AUSTRALIA
- Horse Racing Specials
- Live Streaming of sports events
- Super-fast site and bet placement
- Not a traditional Australian bookmaker
There are plenty of good reasons to become a Unibet Australia customer, especially if you like betting on soccer and horse racing.
Unibet are very smart to recognise the increasing popularity of soccer, ensuring they cover a multitude of leagues with a wide range of markets. They bet to tight margins, so it’s definitely worth checking their prices before committing to a bet because they often having the biggest price available. The same applies across many other worldwide sports such as tennis and basketball.
They offer coverage of all three forms of Australian horse racing – thoroughbreds, trots and greyhounds – although overseas meetings are not catered for on the Australian domain.
The website is clean and crisp, while the in-play betting is as dynamic as anything else out there. They also offer a staggering number of live streamed events via Unibet TV, which is second only to Bet365‘s live streaming schedule.
Unibet are a Swedish-owned company who were founded in 1997 and now claim to have over 7.2 million customers in over 100 countries. In 1999, Unibet had a website running in Swedish and English, which reflects their customer base.
Indeed, although their registered office is based in Malta, Scandinavia is the true stronghold for Unibet right now, who are a major player in Sweden and Denmark. They are one of the largest privately owned bookmakers in Europe and are listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The group have won awards for their In-Play betting and customer service.
In 2012, Unibet struck a deal to purchase Australian bookmaker Betchoice, which had been in operation since 2001, and began offering an online service in Australia at unibet.com.au.
ODDS AND MARKETS
You can’t accuse Unibet of exaggerating their number of sports markets, and they deserve top marks for listing how many are available on each sport – over 1000 markets on soccer alone. How is this possible? Simply because they are on a mission to cover almost every league worldwide. Naturally, they are very in-depth when it comes to Sweden.
In addition to soccer, they cover every other sport that you would expect from a big bookmaker. They are big on Australian horse racing as well as international racing too, but they are also big on tennis, golf and ice hockey amongst other sports. Their odds are generally quite competitive, especially on EPL soccer where they try to gain an edge on bigger bookmakers. As you might expect, they bet to a much larger margin on their In-Play markets.
The Unibet Australia website seems to improve every time we visit and it’s a very professional offering, which employs a green, white and black colour scheme to good effect.
The first thing you see on the home page is the site broken down into two areas – Racing and Sports. The current promotions and offers are also displayed with excellent graphics and images. You can click through to the required area of the site from here.
Once inside the site, you will find sports and racing markets displayed in the left hand menu and all of the odds in the centre panel where quick links and offers are also available. There is also a live score and results section and a live calendar to enable you to keep track with what sports events are going on. The website is quick and easy to use.
Unibet Australia have a very impressive customer service which includes telephone support 7 days a week. There is also email contact available. The service desk seems to be well-manned and the staff there deal with your queries politely and respectfully.
