Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul
Floyd “Money” Mayweather isn’t taking this fight too seriously given he is arguably the greatest boxer of all time with an unbeaten 50-0 professional record. Standing opposite him is a YouTube personality with an amateur boxing record of 0-1.
Mayweather has fought some of the biggest names in boxing and conquered them all on his way to becoming a world champion in five weight divisions.
The payday is reported to be around $132 million AUD for Mayweather and it’s no surprise to see him taking up the offer to beat up on an opponent that wouldn’t even lace his gloves.
Just remember, Mayweather has fought Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya just to name a few. And he conquered them all.
27 of his 50 wins came via knockout with the other 23 via decision. In this exhibition bout, there will be no judges, but knockouts are allowed.
Paul has fought once back in 2019 when suffering a split decision loss to fellow YouTuber and rapper KSI.
This exhibition bout looks nothing short of a cash grab and in the lead up, Mayweather has been bragging about how much money he is making. It looks the same for Paul who is about to get put back in his place by the goat of boxing.
Mayweather has options in this exhibition bout. Stop the fight early with a combination of shots to put Paul down for good or let the YouTube star enjoy his 10 minutes of fame against the boxing legend before Mayweather ends proceedings.
With no judges and no official winner, Mayweather may as well go for the knockout to make a statement that sitting behind a microphone and calling out elite athletes in their respective sport will end very badly.
