AFL Multibet Tips - 4-leg multibet paying $162 on this weekend's Round 14 AFL fixtures

  • We're looking to win big with our weekend multibet on Round 14 of the AFL.
  • Here are our selections.

Round 14 of the AFL home and away season is the last of the 'bye' rounds and their are six games in store with the action to commence on Thursday June 20.

We have preveiwed the action and picked out a four-leg multi that pays $162 for a $10 unit at sportsbet.

Thursday, June 20

West Coast Eagles v Essendon, Optus Stadium (8.10pm)
West Coast -17.5 $1.90

West Coast come off the bye and went down to Sydney before the break, while Essendon have won their past twp. However, I am not convinced about the Bombers despite their recent performances. West Coast will provide a much sterner test than what the Dons have faced in recent weeks and will be hard to beat at Perth. Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling will be the targets but it is the fringe forwards in Liam Ryan, Jamie Cripps and Willie Rioli that will be the difference. At the other end,Jake Stringer is a big loss and the Dons will find it hard to kick a winning score against an Eagles outfit that have won five of six at Perth Stadium this season.

Friday, June 21

Sydney Swans v Hawthorn, SCG (7.50pm)
Sydney - 9.5 $1.90

Hawthorn have won five of 12, while Sydney have won just four games. But the Swans have the superior recent form, winning three of their past five, while the two losses were narrow ones against some quality opposition in Geelong and Collingwood. While the Hawks always seem to find a way to win at the SCG, Friday night does shape as a tough assignment. They were woeful when heading inside 50m last week, while at the other end, the Swans are firing. Lance Franklin looms as a focal point against his former club, while Tom Papley and Isaac Heeney are others that can give the home side the edge.

Saturday, June 22

Melbourne v Fremantle, MCG (1.45pm)
Fremantle $2.15
Fremantle loom as one of the better bets of the round and represent excellent value in the head to head betting. Their recent win over Collingwood at the MCG will hold them in good stead for this and they should have all the answers for a disappointing Melbourne outfit. Fremantle have won eight of the past 10 games between the two sides. Ross Lyon's side overran Port Adelaide in the closing stages of their Round 13 game, running out 21 point winners. Michael Walters heads in with some electric form after booting six goals, while Nathan Fyfe continues to find plenty of the footy.

St Kilda v Brisbane Lions, Marvel Stadium (4.35pm)
St Kilda $2.10
Brisbane's form away from the GABBA this year has left a lot to be desired with their loss against Carlton at the venue for this weekend's game, Marvel Stadium, a recent example. Interestingly, the Lions have not defeated St Kilda at the venue since the year 2000 and the Saints have won four of the past five between the two sides. If the likes of Jade Gresham and Jack Billings get going then the Saints can get on top in this.
