There are some huge games in AFL Round 4 and the action gets underway on Thursday April 11 when the Sydney Swans take on Melbourne at the SCG.

The Demons will be desperate for a win after their disastrous start to the season that has seen them drop all three games thus far.

Simon Goodwin's side headed into the season as one of the top fancies after rising to make the Preliminary Finals last year but it has all gone pear shaped in 2019. They come off an 18 point loss to the previously winless Essendon and the heat is well and truly on.

Sydney haven't fared much better, losing their first two before picking up a much needed win against Carlton last weekend. The Swans have been posted as slight favourites in the early head to head betting.

On Friday night, the action heads to the MCG for the big clash between Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs. This shapes as an interesting one given that the runners-up from last year have dropped two of three this year. The Magpies have been posted as favourites in the head to head betting.

On Saturday there are five games in store and the first of those pits Geelong up against the GWS Giants. Both sides are in good form and it is the Cats that are favoured to continue their unbeaten streak in season 2019. Chris Scott's side should be hard to beat at their home ground of GMHBA Stadium.

At the MCG, it is Essendon that play host to the Brisbane Lions. The Lions, alongside the Bulldogs, have been the improvers this season and have burst out of the blocks by winning their first three.

Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide take on Richmond in what is another danger game for the Tigers, who are yet to win a game without their injured defender, Alex Rance. The 2017 premiers went down to the Giants last weekend and their problems have been further compounded with injury to their captain, Trent Cotchin.

Saturday night footy sees North Melbourne take on the Adelaide Crows at Marvel Stadium, while West Coast face Fremantle in the Western Derby at Perth Stadium. Adelaide and West Coast are favoured in these two games.

There are two fixtures on Sunday to close out the weekend and the first of those will be when the Gold Coast Suns play Carlton at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast before St Kilda and Hawthorn do battle at Marvel Stadium.
