Australian Open Golf Odds and Tips - Adam Scott favourite to win

Home favourite Adam Scott is favourite to win the Australian Open for the second time when the event is held at The Australian Golf Club this week.

The event returns to the Sydney venue and Scott will be bidding to win the title he last won in 2009, with Ladbrokes making him the $7.50 favourite.

Scott, who was also runner-up in the Australian Open in 2013 and 2015, sit ahead of fellow major winner Louis Oosthuizen ($8.50) at the head of the betting markets.

The 2016 runner-up Cameron Smith is next in the betting at $10 along with Paul Casey.

In a competitive line-up with several players using the event to prepare for next week's Presidents Cup, Abraham Ancer ($13), Marc Leishman ($13) and Sergio Garcia ($15) are also leading contenders.
