Pinjarra hosts an eight-race program on Monday and here are my best bets for the meeting.

Race 3 – 2019 PINJARRA PACING CUP 4TH MARCH MS PACE (2185m) – 5:05 PM AEDT

The Redeemer should be able to hold out the challenge from Illusionation which will likely see Gunna Get Lucky trailing the leader. Gunna Get Lucky (8) races best when close to the speed with cover and that will be the case here. Michael Grantham also picks up the drive which is a plus. The six-year-old mare last won in December when driven by Grantham at Bunbury.

When assessing the closing sectionals in the race, Gunna Get Lucky is a clear stand-out as she has run home in 56.3 and 56.4 in three of her last seven starts. The Redeemer hasn’t been able to break 60 at his past three starts but looks an improver with Chris Voak.

Highroller Joe (3) should find the lead from barrier three with Heez A Masterpiece looking to take a trail. Itsnotova normally walks out and I can’t see him holding out Highroller Joe at the start. Finishing third behind Golden Slipper winner Franco Edward last start, Highroller Joe was a good run after running his last half in 55.1 seconds.

A Group 1 winner at two, Highroller Joe has had several trainer changes in his 13-start career. This will be his second start for Andrew De Campo and his best form will see him lead throughout to win this Level 5 race. Extradite and Itsnotova are the main dangers here.

We see the return of eight-year-old trotting mare Sunnys Little Whiz who last raced in 2017. She hasn’t trialled and fitness is going to be a concern taking on the likes of Sun Of Anarchy, Sunoflindenny and Balmoral Boy.

Sun Of Anarchy (5) gets the barrier draw advantage over Balmoral Boy and Sunoflindenny, which should make him hard to beat. Sunnys Little Whiz draws better but fitness is my concern as outlined earlier. Sun Of Anarchy has won three in a row, including the Group 1 Trotters Cup at Gloucester Park. There’s no reason he can’t go on with it and make it four on the bounce.
