Australian Guineas Betting Odds - Hey Doc firms as favourite after barrier draw

  • Hey Doc a dominant favourite
  • Only two other runners at single figure odds
Hey Doc

Hey Doc has firmed at the top of the betting market for Saturday's Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) after landing barrier two for the Flemington feature.

Hey Doc tightened at the top of the betting with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au from $4.00 into $3.80 favourite after the gelding drew an inside gate in barrier two.

The Tony McEvoy-trained Hey Doc is the dominant favourite ahead of Divine Prophet and Theanswermyfriend, who both $8.50 and the only other runners under double figures.

Divine Prophet won the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) for Team Hawkes in the spring when Hey Doc was third, but the form is expected to be turned around on Saturday.

The Robert Smerdon-trained Theanswermyfriend is first emergency for the Group 1 bit sit on the second line of betting if getting a run.

Paul and Peter Snowden's Attention is next in the market at $10 ahead of $11 chances James Cummings' Prized Icon and Seaburge for David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig.
