Darley Sprint Classic Final Field and Barrier Draw - Middle gate for Santa Ana Lane

Santa Ana Lane has drawn the middle gate for Saturday’s Group 1 Darley Sprint Classic (1200m) at Flemington.

A field of nine sprinters will race down the famous Flemington straight. The Anthony Freedman-trained seven-year-old gelding Santa Ana Lane will begin from barrier five with Mark Zahra riding. He defeated In Her Time and Pierata in the 2018 edition.



Nature Strip will begin from barrier nine for trainer Chris Waller and jockey James McDonald. Nature Strip finished fourth in The Everest (1200m) behind stablemate Yes Yes Yes. Santa Ana Lane was second.

Alizee and Loving Gaby begin from barriers two and three respectively.
