The exciting son of Redoute’s Choice will be looking to take on the older horses with a featherweight 50.5kg on his back but will need a bit of luck from barrier 8.

He finished a narrow 2nd behind stablemate Scissor Kick in the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) and then recorded a dominant all the way win in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty (1400m).

Chris Waller’s trio, Royal Descent ($5), Sacred Falls ($6) and Hawkspur ($7.50) are high up in the market, while last start Tramway Stakes (1400m) winner Lucia Valentina is on the third line of betting at $5.50.

Dual Doncaster Mile winner Sacred Falls looks ready to show his best based on his peak pattern, and has come up with pole position for his third run this campaign.

The talented son of O’Reilly resumed last campaign with two 4th placings before taking out the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) at his third run, and comes into his third run this campaign having finished 4th at his past two starts.

Hawkspur edged out Royal Descent in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) last start and both gallopers should be at nearing peak fitness after three and two runs this campaign.

The Kris Lees-trained Lucia Valentina resumed with an eye-catching last to first win in the Tramway Stakes, but will face a tougher field here and won’t get her preferred rain-affected going with Sydney tracks drying out in the lead up to Saturday’s feature.

Toydini ($9.50) also worked home well at his first run for the Hawkes stable and is the only other runner under double figures.

Kiwi mare Rising Romance looks the best of the rest at $10, while Queenslander Teronado is given a slim chance at $12.

The Snowden-trained Gypsy Diamond ($26) is a rough hope, while rank outsider Laser Hawk ($81) will need some divine intervention to figure in the finish.
