Here is our race-by-race guide to All Aged Stakes Day:

Race 1

There appears to be five key runners in this event in Kaypers, Said Com, Keith's Legacy, Haussmann and Pitt Street, and if that lot doesn't fill the trifecta I'll be very surprised. Pitt Street looks slightly outclassed but may step up with the assistance of a light weight. Said Com didnt appreciate the heavy track last time, but will improve second up and is a big winning chance. Keith's Legacy and Haussmann come out of the same race and it's hard to separate them but they will both be thereabouts. Kaypers presents the best chance to my eye. He has been performing well in BM95/Listed company and the drop back in grade puts him right in this. He's well weighted, will appreciate the better track condition and should get a nice run from barrier 7. We should back him to win with a trifecta bet as a saver.
Bet: Win Kaypers ($6.00 ladbrokes.com.au)
Boxed Trifecta: Said Com, Keith's Legacy, Haussmann, Kaypers, Pitt Street (Luxbet

Race 2

Hot Snitzel was excellent when resuming and on that form he'll be would be very competitive, but he does tend to drop off a touch when second up. See The World has performed well in Group 1 company this campaign and looks set to peak. Emblem's was at his career best last prep and should fly first up. But I see no reason to be going away from Knoydart. He returned as a gelding this prep and has been in phenomanal form since, winning three in a row including two at Listed level before rattling home to grab places in both the G1 Oakliegh Plate (1100m) and G1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) behind sprinting sensation Lankan Rupee. He has had a little freshen up and a trial to keep him ticking along and looks one of the best bets of the day.
Bet: Win Knoydart ($2.60 sportsbet.com.au)

Race 3

Open race this one. Nothing Like Luca resumes after a long lay-off and has been supported in the betting. He won all three of his runs last prep and simply must be respected if he turns up in good order. Mount Nebo has a solid first up record form, he likes the sting out of the ground and is a big hope and juicy odds. Single Style was strong in Group 3 company last time and will take some beating, while Green Beret, Taxmeifyoucan and Two Blue possess the ability to give this a shake. The value is with Mount Nebo though. His record on rain affected tracks is superb, he performs best when fresh and he's the best way to bet.
Bet: Each-way Mount Nebo ($11w, $3.60p at ladbrokes.com.au)

Race 4

Three different quality form-lines meet up here in what is an interesting race. The chances of Arabian Gold, winner of the G3 Adrian Knox (2000m), will totally depend on the weather and condition of the track. If we get into the Slow-Heavy range she will be incredibly hard to beat, but if the track stays around a Dead rating Hooked, Malice and Pheidon come right into contention. Hooked was terrific behind Criterion in the G1 Australian Derby (2400m), has reached his peak now, is rock-hard-fit and is a great chance at good odds. Pheidon won the G2 Alister Clark (2040m) on a good track two starts back. And Malice has been running on well behind the likes of Gypsy Diamond over shorter trips and the step out to 2000m should suit. Tough race and it is definitely best to see what the weather is doing before betting.
Bet: Win Arabian Gold (Slow 7 or worse) ($3.00 Bet365)
Bet: Win Hooked (Slow 6 or better) ($3.50 sportingbet.com.au)

Race 5

Peggy Jean's win in the G1 Sires Produce (1400m) was extremely impressive, she beat half of this field home in convincing fashion and the 1600m journey now looks ideal for this highly talented filly. The two she didn't beat, Bachman and Veuvelicious, are her only rivals here. The best of the boys, Bachman has progressed up in distance nicely, in-fact the further he goes the better he looks and this trip is perfect for him also. Much of the same can be said for Veuvelicious who looks set to peak for this event and it seems we have an intriguing three-way battle. I'm a big fan of Peggy Jean so I'm just in her corner but a trifecta bet looks a great option too.
Bet: Win Peggy Jean ($3.30 Betezy)
Boxed Trifecta: Bachman, Peggy Jean, Veuvelicious (sportingbet.com.au)

Race 6

Rebel Dane is an incredibly tough horse. His second behind Lankan Rupee in the G1 TJ Smith (1200m) was sensational and boy he looks hard to beat here. In saying that he meets a couple of genuine Group 1 performers in Shamexpress and Weary, while the Japanese runner Hana's Goal was fantastic in the G1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) and could threaten as well. Still, Rebel Dane should be firing second run back from a spell, the 1400m will be more to his liking as will the firmer track, he's drawn a suitable gate and with Glen Boss on board we should back him to win. But I also want to have a standout first four bet in this race which could return us a very big dividend.
Bet: Win Rebel Dane ($2.50 sportsbet.com.au)
First Four: 1st - 1 / 2nd - 1, 3, 4, 7 / 3rd - 1, 3, 4, 7, 8 / 4th - 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 ($39 = 100% at Luxbet)

Race 7

I'm very keen on Miniature and Northern Glory running the quinella here. They were both very courageous when running third and fourth in the G3 PJ Bell (1200m) at this track last start and look even more suited to this event plus the drier track only enhances their chances further. They have both drawn good gates, are beautifully weighted and have in-form jockeys on board in Tommy Berry and Kerrin McEvoy. I'm leaning slightly towards Miniature, who is second up and should take the most improvement from that last run, but recommend a quinella bet as well.
Bet: Win Miniature ($4.60
