Randwick Guineas nominations - Kementari heads 15 entries for Guineas

Glyn Schofield on Kementari (blue silks) wins the Hobartville Stakes

The James Cummings-trained Kementari has featured among 15 nominations for Saturday’s Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) at Royal Randwick. 

The son of Lonhro is undefeated in two runs this campaign including a first-up win in the Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m) and a last start victory in the Hobartville Stakes (1400m).

Hobartville placegetters Pierata (2nd) and D’argento (3rd) have also been entered, while other Hobartville runners to be nominated include: Trapeze Artist (4th), Siege Of Quebec (9th) and Capital Gain (10th).

Darren Weir’s Peaceful State is a possibility to back-up following his 2nd placing in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) last Saturday, as is Villermont who finished 4th in that race. 

As well as D’argento, trainer Chris Waller has also nominated Kaonic, Paret, Tangled and Tangmere.
