Fragonard defeats Hear The Chant at Moonee Valley.

Looking for multibet selections for Saturday racing? We've picked out four horses to combine into 4-leg multibet paying $6080 for a $10 bet.

We've combined our best four selections from Flemington for a Multi paying 608/1 at Ladbrokes.

Here is our 4-leg multibet to back on Saturday.

Flemington Race 3 - FRAGONARD ($2.80)
Fragonard drops from the Group 3 Bellmaine Stakes to a Benchmark 84 race for the Fillies and Mares. She was terrific first-up and was only beaten a length behind Prussian Vixen, Flippant and Petition, beating home Silent Sedition who won easily seven days ago. She has had two second-up runs for one placing. The other run was a sixth beaten 3.6 lengths behind I Am A Star and Kenedna in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes. We should see a hot early speed battle here. Essence Of Terror has led in both her starts since the Blinkers have been put on. Working From Home loves to lead and will go hard. Hear The Chant and Sister Kitty Mac will both also push forward. Fragonard will get the cold sit on them, however she does have Barrier one which is a concern down the straight. Damien Lane is on board which is a huge positive. He will be aware of what horses he wants to follow and can slide her to the middle of the track. Hear The Chant looks the only possible danger in the race. She was beaten a length by Fragonard two starts ago at Moonee Valley. She meets Fragonard 4.5kg better at the weights here and has performed well at the recent Jumpouts.

Flemington Race 4 - OREGONS DAY ($3.80)
The Mick Price-trained OREGON’S DAY looks extremely well placed here. She is first-up since November where she ran third in the Group Three Summoned Stakes behind Long Time Ago and Mrs Gardenia. Her first-up record is only fair, recording two placings from four starts. Forgot her last first-up run, nothing went right and the Stewards reported she had a slow recovery. Her previous first-up run was a second in the Group 3 Kevin Hayes Stakes, splitting Fuhryk and Savanna Amour. She has failed in her two starts at Flemington but don’t take too much notice of that. Those two runs came in the Group Two Let's Elope Stakes where she was planted four-wide with no cover and was entitled to weaken out. The other was in the Group Two Kewney Stakes where she bombed the start by five lengths on a leader bias track where no winners came from further back than fourth all day. From a speed map perspective, Deja Blue and Flippant are the two horses that should go forward from outside barriers. Oregon’s Day should get the perfect run just off the speed from gate six. Harlow Gold looks the main danger from a class perspective. My issue with her is, she is first-up from a staying campaign that finished with a run in the Herbert Power over 2400m. Flippant raced flat last start and I’m surprised she is staying at 1400m. Oregon’s Day gets in only 3kg off the minimum and Mark Zahra goes on board. She should be too good for these and I’m making her my Best bet of the day.

Flemington Race 8 - CANNYESCENT ($13.00)
The Lindsay Park galloper CANNYESCENT looks the value in the ATA/Bob Hoysted Handicap over 1000m. The five-year-old Gelding rose through the grades last Winter, winning three consecutive races that included a win here at Flemington, defeating Mio Dio and Tshahitsi. He was then freshen-up and raced at 1200m in the Group 3 Aurie's Star. He was nosed out by Hey Doc who went onto beat the elite Sprinters in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes. He was caught three-wide first-up in the Rubiton Stakes and pulled up with EIPH which is essentially a bleeding attack. Before that run, he was uber-impressive in a Jumpout here at Flemington, where he stole the show against the likes of Formality, Bring Me Roses and Odeon. I said the following about his Jumpout. “Cannyescent cruised through the middle of runners, taking a forward position early before taking over at the clocktower. He was still under a very strong hold to the line and still scored a narrow victory. He really impressed me and looks ready for a great Autumn campaign.” Cannyescent should get a nice run off the speed, with Fell Swoop, Malibu Style and Sunday Escape making the pace. Gate 4 and second-up at 1000m are the two small concerns, but at the price, I’m more than happy to take the risk.

Flemington Race 9 - SCARECROW ($4.40)
The Tony McEvoy-trained SCARECROW ran a terrific fifth in the CS Hayes Stakes behind Grunt, Cliff’s Edge and Main Stage who are all leading contenders for the Group One Australian Guineas. He was still a winning chance until the final 75m where he tired late after doing work outside the leader. An easier run in transit should see him finish off a strong 1400m. Cao Cao led in the CS Hayes stakes and looked to be travelling at the 400m before not finding a great deal. He has form tied around plenty of these but It’s hard to see him turning the tables on Scarecrow. There is Plenty of speed involved here. Cao Cao, Over And Above, Scarecrow and Red White And Blue should all push forward early. I have Over And Above leading from Red White And Blue, Cao Cao in behind the leader and Scarecrow getting a perfect trail in fourth. He should get the run of the race for Luke Currie and he looks the perfect way to finish the day. Happy to be with him.
