Favourite Shadow Hero has landed a favourable inside draw in barrier two for Saturday’s Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) at Randwick.

The Mark Newnham-trained three-year-old is odds-on to take out the Sydney Group 1 and the last start Group 3 Gloaming Stakes (1800m) winner will jump from gate two in an 11-strong line-up.

Shadow Hero will clash again with Gloaming Stakes rivals Quick Thinker (third) and Just Thinkin’ (fourth).

Murray Baker & Andrew Forsman's Quick Thinker will jump from barrier four at Randwick on Saturday, while the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Just Thinkin' will need to overcome a wide draw in barrier 10.

Last year's Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) winner Castelvecchio will start between that pair in barrier seven for trainer Richard Litt.
