Werribee Jumpouts - Monday May 7

  • 14 Jumpouts from Werribee
  • Vega Magic was the star of the show
  • 4 Blackbookers

Werribee played host to a set of 14 Jumpouts early on Monday Morning. The star of the show was Vega Magic in Jumpout 3, but we have found a total four horses for the Blackbook.

Jump Out 1: 1100m - 1.11.03sec
The Tony McEvoy-trained TEXAS JACK is the horse I’m with from this Jumpout. The two-year-old Makfi Colt had a quiet Jumpout and still looked quite green, finishing back in fourth. He showed nice speed to sit near the lead, he wanted to hang out in the straight, finishing close-up behind Haka and My Pendant who were both under riding. He finished a disappointing second-last on debut at Morphettville, but was sent out the same price ($4.80) as his stablemate Winning Partner. Winning Partner ran fourth on Saturday behind Heaven’s Deal and Sanglier (Beaten 1.7 lengths) in the Listed Queen Adelaide Stakes.

Jump Out 2: 1100m - 1.13.02sec
I think we’ve found a good one here. It’s another Tony McEvoy-trained runner, three-year-old All Too Hard Filly DIVANATION. They didn’t smash the clock, but it was the effortless nature of her Jumpout that impressed me. Divanation and the Danny O’Brien-trained Buckhound paired off, beating home the other two horses by at least 20 lengths. Buckhound has run a close-up fourth at Sandown behind the likes of Gretzky and Hermanito before breaking his Maiden at Pakenham. In this Jumpouts, Buckhound was under riding down the straight, being pushed along while the Jockey sat motionless on Divanation. They came to the line together, which gives me the impression Tony McEvoy has an extremely smart one on his hands. I’m be following her wherever she goes.

Jump Out 3: 1100m - 1.07.03sec
No secrets here, Group 1 sprinter VEGA MAGIC stepped out in Jumpout Number 3 and was extremely impressive. The five-year-old Gelding had an extremely successful first preparation for the Lindsay Park operation, winning the Group 1 Goodwood Handicap and the Group 1 Memsie Stakes, while running a close-up second in The Everest. His Jumpout was super, winning by roughly 12 lengths in good time. He is on target for his first-up assignment in the Group 1 Goodwood on May 19.

Jump Out 12: 800m - 50.09sec
Lindsay Park and a Spirit Of Boom two-year-old is a scary combination. That’s what we find her in Jumpout 12 with the smart SPIRITOSA. She backed up her impressive trial back in September last year behind stablemate Nasaayim who has gone onto contest black type races. She led and controlled proceedings in the four horse Jumpout. She clearly had them covered, with the outside horse under the whip and still not getting past Spiritosa, who was under a hold to the line.

Jumpout 1: TEXAS JACK
Jumpout 2: DIVANATION
Jumpout 3: VEGA MAGIC
Jumpout 12: SPIRITOSA
