Prediction

Match Preview

Brisbane will be out to take some winning form into the finals series when they face the improving Bulldogs on Saturday.

The Broncos are all but assured of finals football after edging Parramatta in a thrilling golden point showdown last week, with Jamayne Isaako slotting home the winning field goal.

Only an unlikely draw between the Tigers and Sharks on Sunday and a loss to the Bulldogs would see them miss out.

Teen forwards Payne Haas and David Fifita are two of the form players in the competition and will be salivating at the prospect of lighting up the finals series.

Jake Turpin returns from suspension in the halves, with Sean O'Sullivan dropping out.

Canterbury have done a fantastic job of propelling themselves into finals contention over the last month or so, but their brave run came to an end last week as they were pipped in a close one by the Cowboys.

But now that the Bulldogs are out of the finals race and don’t have anything to play for but pride, I do wonder if they will have much left in the tank for this game. Their attack is still very much a work in progress and arguably their best player over the last couple of months - Dallin Watene-Zelezniak - is out with a knee injury.

Brisbane eased to a 28-6 win back in Round 18 and I think they can rack up another big scoreline on Saturday night.

Match Odds

Brisbane Broncos - $1.65
