Match Preview

The end of the 2019 season can’t come any quicker for these two sides - who will come out on top and enjoy a rare victory before heading off for Mad Monday celebrations?

It’s amazing to think this time last year, the Dragons were on the verge of making the preliminary finals, only to fall in a close game to the Rabbitohs.

Fast forward to the present, and Paul McGregor’s side have won jus seven of 23 games and are second-last on the ladder.

It’s been a season to forget, but this is a great chance for the Dragons to end the year with a win. Corey Norman returns from injury, while Reece Robson comes in at hooker for Cameron McInnes (broken leg).

Meanwhile, the Titans are the only team having a worse season than the Dragons, with the club about to pick up the wooden spoon as they come into this clash six points behind their opponents.

Gold Coast have only won four out of their 23 matches this season and it’s been another harsh reality check when it comes to the team simply not having an NRL standard roster.

The Dragons have won their last three games, scoring 40+ points in all of them. Anything could happen in this clash with two poor sides that have nothing to play for, but if the Dragons turn up with the right attitude, they should be winning this one.

Match Odds

St George Illawarra Dragons - $1.65
Gold Coast Titans - $2.25
