Prediction

Match Preview

Just two weeks ago, the Broncos and Warriors were being dismissed as top eight contenders after a poor start to the season.

However, a fortnight later, and the two sides are swiftly making their way up the ladder after back-to-back victories, with the Warriors and Broncos currently occupying 10th and 11th spots respectively and potentially just two points away from sixth.

After being humbled by the Rabbitohs, the Broncos have been tremendous, scoring a big win over Manly during Magic Round before producing their best performance of the season, dispatching competition leaders and minor premiers the Roosters last week by a 15-10 scoreline.

It was an enormous triumph for Anthony Seibold and his side as the Broncos look to continue their winning momentum across the Tasman on Saturday.

However, they will have to replicate that level in Auckland, because the Warriors are also on a mini-roll at the moment.

Granted, they don’t have a scalp the size of the Roosters under their belt, but they’ve been clinical in taking out the Dragons and Warriors over the last two weeks.

Adding further spice and intrigue to this encounter is Kodi Nikorima lining up against his old club just a couple of weeks after departing the Broncos.

The Warriors have won three of the last four meetings between the teams and usually tend to lift when they come up against the Broncos. The jury is still out on whether the Warriors have turned a corner - and the Broncos as well for that matter - but they match up well against Brisbane, and at home, they should have the edge.

Match Odds

New Zealand Warriors - $1.88
Brisbane Broncos - $1.95
