Roosters meet Storm in the Grand Final

Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm face off for the 2018 NRL premiership on Sunday and we’ve come up with our best same game multi for the Grand Final.

Whatever happens on Sunday night at ANZ Stadium, I’m confident it will be a very close game. The biggest winning margin in the last four meetings between the Roosters and Storm has been five points, while their only clash this season was a 9-8 triumph for Melbourne at Adelaide Oval. Add in the pressure of a Grand Final (and the fact the Roosters are the best defensive team in the NRL), and I don’t think we’ll be seeing many points or a big winning margin again,.

The value lies with the Roosters in what I think is a 50-50 match-up, so backing them in the head-to-head market at $2.20 with online bookmaker Sportsbet is my first leg.

As mentioned, it will almost certainly be a close Grand Final, so there’s more value to be had in taking the Roosters at $3.10 in the 1-12 margin.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing many points or tries at all - in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if this Grand Final was one of those 8-6 or 8-4 scorelines with maybe two tries and a penalty goal the only scoring plays.

But, just to be safe, I’m going to take the Total Points at Under 32.5, which is a solid $1.90.

Those three legs add up to total odds add up to a return of $119.60 for a $10 bet.
