Bennelong By-Election Betting Odds - Kristina Keneally $1.95 to win seat

Former NSW Premier Kristina Keneally is $1.95 to win the seat of Bennelong at the by-election on December 16.

The by-election was set after John Alexander resigned from his seat over a dual-nationality debate centred around him holding British citizenship.

Keneally will fight for the seat for the Labor party, but is out in the betting after Alexander was declared as the Liberals candidate for his former seat.

Alexander will contest his former seat after it was deemed he has never held dual citizenship.

And as a result he has firmed in the better from $1.80 into $1.75 with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.

"Bennelong is very much a seat in play since Kristina Keneally entered the race but so far the money is on Alexander to retain the usually safe Liberal seat," said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
