Week 3 saw some surprise results, none more so that Manchester United going down 3-0 to the Spurs at Old Trafford. Rivals Man City also couldn’t manage a win, settling for a 1-1 draw to the Wolves.

We preview Week 4 and give full previews, prediction and bets.

Leicester v Liverpool

Liverpool couldn’t have asked for a better start to their premier league season. They have kept a clean sheet in all three matches against West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton. The Reds sit on top of the Premier League table. Leicester currently sits with a 2-1 record after an injury time goal from Harry Maguire lifted Leicester to a 2-1 victory over Southampton who was forced to play with 10 men after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was sent off in the 77th minute.

Brighton v Fulham

Brighton will be filled with confidence returning home after a tough trip to Anfield Stadium. Liverpool dominated play, but only managed one goal from Mohamed Salah in the 23rd minute. In their only home game thus far, Brighton scored a huge upset, beating Manchester United 3-2. Fulham started their Premier League campaign poorly, with a 0-2 loss to Crystal Palace and a 1-3 loss to Tottenham. Fulham scored their first win of the season, beating Burnley 4-2 thanks to a quick first-up double from Aleksandar Mitrovic. Brighton should be too good at home.

Chelsea v Bournemouth

Chelsea should make it 4 from 4 when they face Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Chelsea scored a 3-0 victory over Huddersfield in their Premier League opener. A 3-2 thriller against Arsenal followed. It was a game of momentum, with Chelsea holding a 2-0 lead early before Arsenal levelled up the scoring at 2-2 before halftime. Marcos Alonso Mendoza broke the tie with a goal in the 81st minute. Bournemouth is also undefeated over their first three matches, with a 2-0 victory over Cardiff, a 2-1 win against West Ham and a 2-2 draw with Everton. This should be a high scoring match.

Crystal Palace v Southampton

Both teams are in desperate need of a victory, Crystal Palace returns home after a 1-2 loss to Watford. They will be looking to recapture their early form that saw a 2-0 defeat of Fulham away from home. Crystal Palace is 0-1 at home, but that loss did come to Liverpool with only 10 men after the 75th minute. Southampton will be looking for their first victory of the Premier League season. They started their season with an uninspiring 0-0 draw with Burnley before two consecutive 1-2 losses to Everton and Leicester City.

Everton v Huddersfield

Everton is undefeated over their first three matches but is yet to face a real challenger. After scoring three of Everton’s first four goals, Richarlison was given a red card in the 41st minute against Bournemouth. The match was at a 0-0 standstill at half-time, however, things really opened up, with the match ending in a 2-2 draw, with two late goals from Bournemouth. Huddersfield has only scored one goal for the Premier League and has a goal differential of -8, which is the worst in the league, following their 1-6 loss to Man City in week 2.

West Ham v Wolves

Both West Ham and the Wolves are without a victory after three weeks, however, both have had tough starts to the season. West Ham looked outclassed in their opener against Liverpool, losing 0-4 before suffering a 1-2 loss to Bournemouth and a 1-3 loss to Arsenal. The Wolves started their season with a 2-2 draw to Everton, a 0-2 loss to Leicester before a terrific 1-1 draw with Man City. I can’t pick against the Wolves based on that effort, despite them being on the road against West Ham.

Manchester City v Newcastle

Man City starting their title defence in particularly brutal fashion, with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium before a 6-1 demolition of Huddersfield. The Wolves took it up to City in Week 3, taking the lead on a controversial fashion as Willy Boly handled Joao Moutinho's fine cross into the far corner. City struck back 12 minutes later but could only manage a 1-1 draw. They return home to face Newcastle who could only manage a 0-0 draw against Cardiff in their only away match of the season so far.

Cardiff v Arsenal

After a tough first fortnight, Arsenal bounced back in week 3 with an important 3-1 victory over West Ham at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners started their Premier League campaign with a 0-2 loss to Man City and a 2-3 loss to Chelsea after Marcos Alonso Mendoza scored the game-winner in the 81st minute. Cardiff has struggled to trouble the scorers in the first 3 weeks, notching up 0-0 draws with Newcastle and Huddersfield after losing 0-2 to Bournemouth in the opening week. Arsenal with a 2-0 victory.

Burnley v Manchester United

Man United manager Jose Mourinho suffered the biggest home loss of his career when The Red Devils went down 3-0 to Tottenham. Man United have now lost two of their first three Premier League games for the first time since 1992. Man United find themselves 13th on the Premier League table, below Fulham and Crystal Palace. Burnley have had struggles of their own, allowing Fulham to kick three first half goals in a 4-2 defeat. This was following a 1-3 home defeat by Watford.

Watford v Tottenham

Very surprisingly, both Watford and Tottenham remain unbeaten after three weeks and sit ahead of Manchester City on the Premier League table. The Spurs have a +6 goal differential and have proved they can play away from home, with a 3-0 victory against Man United at Old Trafford and a 2-1 victory over Newcastle in the opening week. Watford has a +5 goal differential and are fresh off a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road. The edge must go to Tottenham here, however as the match is at Watford, I believe they can hold on for a draw.
