Sydney FC head to Japan to face Kawasaki Frontale in their second game in AFC Champions League Group H on Wednesday.

Kawasaki v Sydney kicks off at 9.00pm AEST at Todoroki Athletics Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports in Australia.

Match Preview

Sydney FC collected a point from their Group H opener at home to Ulsan Hyundai last week after playing a 0-0 draw.

Now Steve Corica's Sky Blues bid to build on that when they take on J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale at the Todoroki Athletics Stadium.

Kawasaki are in the midst of an eight-game run without victory in the AFC Champions League following a 1-0 defeat on the road at Chinese Super League champions Shanghai SIPG in their opening game.

Will Kawasaki finally end that run by beating Sydney FC? Toru Oniki's side are struggling to find a way to win games after three successive draws to start the new J-League season.

Sydney FC have had plenty of time to prepare for Wednesday's clash having enjoy the weekend off from A-League action, but will they be good enough to collect all three points? They've never won in Japan on four previous trips and that is unlikely to change.
