Match Preview

It is a Distance Derby to finish the regular A-League season as Perth Glory entertain Wellington Phoenix in the last of the Round 27 games.

Glory have already secured the minor premiership and there is nothing at stake in this one for the Phoenix either as they are now assured of finishing in fifth spot on the ladder.

The Phoenix were the only side in the A-League that could potentially have had something to play for this weekend, as they could have finished in fourth.
But Adelaide United got the job done against Brisbane Roar to seal what will be a home final against Phoenix, althouh a defeat of more than one goal will see Wellington slip to sixth behind Melbourne City.

Perth Glory have been extremely tough to beat at home this season and they have won nine of their past 12 matches as home favourites for a clear profit.

In saying that, Wellington have been no easybeats on the road and they have lost only three of their 10 games as away underdogs, although the majority of those results ended as draws.

Perth’s defence is extremely tough to breakdown and they can claim another win to nil.

Match Odds

Perth Glory $1.57
Wellington Phoenix $4.75
Draw $4.00
