Sydney Sixers vs Adelaide Strikers Preview & Prediction

The Sydney Sixers will be aiming for their third successive BBL final appearance on Wednesday night. They enter the match after their Qualifier defeat against the top of the ladder Scorchers.

They will be keen to avenge the meeting just over a week ago when the Strikers cruised past them by eight wickets. Despite their star-studded batting line-up, they were bowled out for 140. It could’ve been a lot worse if it wasn’t for Ben Dwarshuis’ 66 from 29 balls batting at nine.

Meanwhile, the Adelaide Strikers have surprised many with their end of season form, winning their sixth consecutive match against the optimistic Sydney Thunder last time out.

Englishman Ian Cockbain has continued his good end to the home and away season as he set the standard for his side, as they totalled mammoth 184 at the MCG. However, it’s been captain Peter Siddle who has dictated things with the ball this campaign, with four wickets in the eliminator and two wickets against the Thunder.

Although the Strikers enter this game in the better form of the two sides, I believe the Sixers playoff experience and recent history against Adelaide will be enough to drag them over the line to face Perth in the final on Thursday.
