CSK vs PBKS Match Prediction & Preview

The Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings are set to clash heads on Thursday when they battle it out at the Dubai International Stadium.

In MS Dhoni’s sides last outing, they lost their first match in five matches against the sixth-placed Rajasthan Royals. Although they set the standard with their highest score since the restart of the season with 189, their bowling let them down, and the Royals chased the runs down with seven wickets to spare.

However, opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad was awarded man of the match, with an unbeaten 101*. They find themselves currently equal on points with the Delhi Capitals, who they face tomorrow to likely decide the top spot on the ladder.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings suffered a season-ending loss against the Royal Challengers by six runs. They will still look to end the season off on a good note and cause an upset on Thursday.

Anil Kumble’s outfit only managed to score five runs on a two-and-a-half over period, in a pivotal time of the match. If they started to be more aggressive with wickets in hand earlier, they could’ve come away with the two points.

Despite losing against the Rajasthan Royals and having two days less rest, I still believe the Super Kings should comfortably cruise past the inconsistent Kings.
